Procedure for Exterior Concrete Staining (Driveways, Walkways, Patios, Faux Rock, Fountains)
First Step is the estimate/consultation: A company rep will meet with the homeowner to discuss the project the homeowner wants done.
• They will discuss what the options are and the different ways to achieve the results.
• Vince will offer his insight and recommendations.
• They will discuss dates to schedule job if the homeowner wants to move forward.
Second step is prep:
• Outdoor plants will be trimmed if necessary, as discussed with homeowner.
• Adjacent areas will be protected with tape and masking paper.
• Furniture will be moved if necessary, as discussed with homeowner.
• Pictures will be taken of furniture and plants to ensure they go back to their proper place after the job is completed.
Third step is cleaning:
• Surface is pressure washed and prepped to ensure that we have proper adhesion and penetration of stain. We use specialized brushes on the floor machine. Our brushes and sprayers are of the latest technology.
• Surface is deep cleaned with our biodegradable cleaners and treated to mitigate efflorescence and moisture transmission.
Fourth step is staining:
• Smith Concrete Stain will be applied in the color(s) that was pre-discussed with the homeowner.
Fifth step is sealing and clean up:
• The sealer will be applied as the final step. We have sealers ranging from no sheen all the way up to high sheen.
• Additives are applied to ensure surface is non slippery.
• After sealer is applied, we remove all tape and plastic that has been applied for protection.
• Furniture is moved back into place if pre-arranged with homeowner.

• Homeowner will have samples of stamp to choose from and will decide on a style/ design for their overlay. Stamp patters can be smooth or made to resemble natural stone or faux wood.
• They will discuss dates to schedule job if the homeowner wants to move forward.
